High in the mountains of Nariño, Colombia, coffee thrives in the shadow of the Galeras Volcano. With elevations reaching 2,100 meters and rich volcanic soil, the cherries here mature slowly, developing concentrated sugars and complexity that make this region’s coffees some of the most admired in Colombia.
This washed lot comes from smallholder farmers—many cultivating just a single hectare—who carefully harvest ripe cherries before a 20–25 hour fermentation. Drying is done in parabolic dryers with controlled airflow and temperature to protect quality and create consistency. The result is a coffee that highlights both the terroir and the dedication of its producers.
Roasted to a dark medium, this coffee reveals a bolder side of Nariño: layers of toffee and vanilla pair with the region’s signature dark chocolate and black fruit depth. The cup is sweet, rounded, and comforting, with enough structure to shine whether brewed as a filter or pulled as a rich espresso.
