Introducing our exceptional Costa Rica Turrialba, crafted by Aquiares Estate using the innovative anaerobic natural process. This coffee showcases the distinct characteristics of the varietals, and the the fermentation process. This method involves floating the coffee cherries, then placing them in stainless steel tanks to ferment in an anaerobic environment for 24 hours. The cherries are then dried on ceramic patios before finishing on layered beds within a solar dryer.

Aquiares Estate, nestled on the lush slopes of Turrialba Volcano in Costa Rica, is not only the country's largest coffee farm but also a leader in sustainable and equitable coffee production. Managed by Diego Robelo, the farm has transformed into a model community where sustainability and innovation meet. Aquiares devotes significant efforts towards carbon neutrality and supports a rich biodiversity with its protected natural springs and streams.

Our Turrialba selection from Aquiares is celebrated for its vibrant fruit notes of cherry and strawberry, with a candy-like sweetness, rounded off with bright acidity. As the cup cools, some familiarity blooms and the cup becomes grounded with mild cacao tones, resulting in a cup of coffee which represents a unique marriage of quality and innovation in the coffee industry.
