The Best Coffee in Orlando & Central Florida: Why It Starts with Steel Oak

Orlando runs on imagination—theme parks, tech, film, and neighborhoods that feel like small towns. Across Central Florida, early risers, night shifters, and weekend adventurers share one ritual: great coffee. The best coffee in Orlando & Central Florida starts with beans roasted for clarity and sweetness, not gimmicks—roasted by Steel Oak.

Steel Oak Coffee: Orlando & Central Florida’s Roastery

Just up the coast, our Ormond Beach roastery supplies Central Florida with small-batch, specialty-grade coffee roasted every week. Since 2016, we’ve focused on traceable origins, clean processing, and dialed-in profiles that make home brewing easy. Every Friday and Saturday, our roastery doors are open. Come smell fresh roasts, ask questions, and leave with, what we think is, the best coffee you'll ever have.

Cupping Sessions

If you want to level up your palate, join our guided tastings every other Friday. Conversation flows around aroma, flavor, comparing origins, processing differences (washed, honey, natural), and brew variables. You'll walk away with a better understanding of how each choice changes the cup. Seats are limited—reserve your spot online.

Brew Like a Local at Home

Orlando isn’t just a café city—it’s a home-brew city. With fresh Steel Oak beans and the right tools, you can pull café-quality espresso or make crystal-clear pour-overs at home. We carry prosumer gear—Sanremo machines, Fiorenzato grinders, and innovations from Fellow and Ratio—so your setup can grow with your skills.

  • Pour-Over: Start 1:16 (21 g coffee : 336 g water), ~210°F. Finer grind for cone filters; slightly coarser for flat bottoms.
  • Espresso: 18 g in → 36 g out in ~25–30 s. If sour, grind finer; if bitter, coarsen slightly.
  • French Press: Coarse grind, 1:13.5, ~4 min. Skim oils before plunging for a cleaner cup.
  • Cold Brew: Extra-coarse, 1:5 concentrate for 12–16 hrs; dilute 1:2–1:3 to serve.
